I lead an occasionally interesting life filled with adventures and a lot of naps, rarely at the same time. I am simultaneously an emerging business professional/success story and a secretly immature kid at heart. I am an old soul and a modern "hipster", apparently. I am a contradiction, but not.

Let your stalking begin. Expect discussions of coffee, philosophy, music postings and images of the things I am interested in being reblogged because I am too lazy to develop original internet content.

Top 5 Favorite Songs

#4 - The Seed 2.0 - The Roots

It’s Rock n’ Roll. It’s hip hop. It’s everything good about music, proving the common ground that exists beneath all genres and styles. One of the most addictive drum beats I have ever heard, topped off with incredible hooks and lyrics that are layered and incredibly meaningful. It’s not just about pregnancy, it’s about the union of Rock and Hip Hop, the stubbornness of both to become acceptably joined by society, but the beauty in the union.

Or maybe it’s just about pregnancy. Regardless, it is my most listened to song on iTunes, and one of the best.

#5 - Wolf Like Me - TV on the Radio

It’s incredibly well written lyrically and the music, as it often is with TV, is incredibly powerful and charged. Also, it’s one of the greatest songs ever written about sex; an honest break down of the instinctive nature of it and the acknowledgement that “corruption” isn’t always a bad thing. Also, it’s just a jam. Rock N’ Roll with hella soul. The line “My mind has changed my body’s frame, but God I like it” will forever be one of my favorite to sing along to.
